The Women's Tour 2022 Stage 2 Preview

2022 Women's Tour - STAGE 2 Preview & Predictions

What a crazy start to the Women's Tour! Race neutralisation, dancing and an unfortunate crash in the finale. Weibes, Labeski, Swinkels and all of the contenders for the sprint seemed okay afterwards. Hopefully, they make a full recovery for tomorrow.

Stage 2 Overview

Stage Profile

Last 5 km of Stage 2

Measuring 92.1 km, stage two will both start and finish in the town of Harlow. Harlow Innovation Park is a new destination for business with an interest in science, technology, research and innovation, and will kick off the second stage.

The route will take riders north east through Hatfield Heath to Great Dunmow for the opening intermediate sprint of the stage, and on through Felsted, High Easter (location of the second intermediate sprint), and Roxwell. It will be a fast and furious circuit, and it will be fast!

Over 100 of the world’s best riders will return to Harlow via Chipping Ongar and a pair of ŠKODA Queen of the Mountains climbs at Toot Hill and Epping. The stage will finish along Third Avenue, a short distance away from Harlow’s town centre.

The question remains: Are the last two difficulties far enough from the finish line to let best sprinters finish with the first bunch?
