Prologue
The prologue is a 5.4km effort that will suit the most powerful of time trialists, leading the way will be Rafael Reis.

Stage 1

In a race that usually favours breakaway, Stage 1 could be already be the first to reward the brave ones!

Stage 2

As much as the breakaway would want to take it, the punchy finish of stage 2 will wet a lot of tastebuds.

Stage 3

The first big mountain stage is where the climbers and favorites would want to mark their territories. Stage 3 could see a pure climber winning from the break as well as the best man attacking from the bunch.

Stage 4

At first sight, stage 4 could reward sprinters but the Volta A Portugal is usually not kind to sprinters an some sneaky riders will try to profit.

Stage 5

Stage 5 is a mountain finish reserved for the very best!

Stage 6

After 2 big mountains stages. the gap for many riders will be long enough for a proper and break away day on stage 6.

Stage 7

The finish of stage 7 is a traditonal finish after a categroy 2 climb effort.

Stage 8

On the eve of the big day, the major guys will saving some energy on this stage

Stage 9

Stage 9 is stuff of legend where the Volta will be won or lost.

Stage 10

The Volta will close with a finak time trial in Porto.
